Waste disposal
|
What are the impacts of
this issue
The storages of non-utilized and toxic
industrial waste are the sources of the enveronment pollution ( the
atmospheric air, surface and underground waters), especially during
natural calamities (earthquake, fire, landslip). If there is no any
protection, they can become the reason of mass poisoning of people
and animals. Badly organized, spontaneous dumps of consumer
waste also pollute the environment, and during hot seasons may
become the sources of infectious illnesses and insects. The cases of
inflammation of such dumps are not seldom, and the atmospheric air
is polluted by toxic products of waste combustion, as well as by the
evaporation of defferent consumer chemicals, including toxines for
killing insects. Stifling smoke and evaporation are especially
dangerous for children, ill and old people. There are no any special
researches of harmful influence of waste storages on the condition
of the environment.
