Chapter Introduction

Tashkent is one of the greenest cities in Central Asia, from the early times it is called as city-garden. On the square of more than 20 km2 the city parks, public gardens, avenues, street plantations are situated, more than 70 km2 is occupied by planted territories of dwelling districts, kindergardens, schools, hospitals, enterprises, establishments and organizations. Per every townsman of Tashkent is about 47 square metres of green plantations growing now.
