Chapter Introduction

The city is built by hands of a man. However, not only people live here. In the modern cities, including Tashkent.
The whole world of vertebrates; birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish are living here. The diversity of living conditions, propitious microclimate, big amount of food sources, absence of natural enemies promote this existence.
Of course, in our city we can not meet big birds and mammals, or poisonous animals as it can happen in Southern tropical countries. However, here it is possible to see many animals, which are typical only for Central Asia. The Amount of separate ecologically plastic Species, for example  Aeridotheres tristis , Rattus norvegicus , Commonbat, Bufoviridis and others in the city, sometimes is higher, than in natural environment. They live in the neighbourhood of people constantly, give to people a huge amount both positive emotions, and problems, and are interesting for observations and researches.
