Air quality

   What is causing the problems

On the quality of the atmospheric air influence the emissions of pollutants from industrial  enterprises and automobile transport of Tashkent city and of big enterprises in Tashkent region.

In 1999 in the air pool of Tashkent city from the stationary and movable sourses was emitted about 226 thousands tons of pollutants. At the same time, comparing to 1996 the emissions from industrial enterprises lowered on2,2 thousands tons (16,3%), and the emissions from autotransport increased on 109,6 thousands tons or more than two times.

Except this, the air is polluted by emissions from unconsidered sources (spontaneous garbage dumps, burning of leaves, waste, dusty storms etc).
