Air quality

   What is causing the problems  

The stationary sources of emission of pollutants.
The quantity of enterprises which have emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, in the period from 1996 till 1999 has increased from 191 to 327, on 71,2%. The quantity of emission sources has increased on 14,3%. At the same time, the total emission from stationary sources during this period lowered on 16,3 %.
According to the data, given by the Ministry of Macroeconomics and Statistics, the highest quantity of emissions from all stationary sources consists of carbon oxide, nitrogen dioxide and solid substances.
In connection with the beginning of exploitation of different new medium-size enterprises, the small-tonnage emissions of other substances have increased on 1043 tons (49,3%).
