What is causing the
problems
The
Automobile transport.
The automobile transport is the main source of the
atmospheric air pollution in Tashkent city,
where the 1/5 part of all automobiles of the country is
concentrated. In connection with the automobiles quantity growth,
the emissions from autotransport during the period from 1996 till 1999
have increased from 103, 6 thousands tons to 213,2 thousands tons, or on
106%. This portion in total emission has
increased from 87,3% to 94,4%. The emission from autotransport is determined by calculation methods
on the qantity of
utilized fuel; in 1999 they were in 16,8 times higher than the
emission from stationary sources. By the reason of that the
gasoline with ethyl is used as automobile fuel, automobiles are not
supplied by neutralizators of exhaust gases, because the gasoline
contains lead, which distorts, the neutralizators. The quantity
of sulphur in diesel fuel till year 2000 was equal to 1,2%.
