Acidification

What is being done to solve the problems

The major mass of acid-forming emissions is received from automobile transport, everywhere in all places equiped by neutralizators of exhaust gases, because of utilization gasoline with ethyl as a fuel for automobile. The emission of sulphur dioxide can be explained by high content of sulphur in diesel fuel.
According to the National obligations of Republic of Uzbekistan on extraction of lead from gasoline in year 2000 were begun works on convertion to the production of gasoline without ethyl, which shall be finished up to 2008.
For the increase in quality of diesel fuel the reconstruction of Fergana oil-refining factory was conducted, which permitted since year 2000 to receive diesel fuel with content of sulphur no more than 0,05%, according international standards.
There are no any big stationary sources, not equiped by gas-cleaning plants to render harm-less sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxide. The decrease of their emission is achieved through the existence of technological processes.
