The Tashkent Metro is one of the most
ecologically clear types of transport. The building of Metro in
Tashkent has been begun in 1973. The 1-st part of the 1-st
line (from "Sabir Rahimov" to "Amir emur Square" Stations), with 9
stations, electric depot and the house of
communication began its
work in November 6, 1997. The length of the line is 12,2 km. The
2-nd part of the 1-st line (from "Amir Temur Square" to "Buyuk Ipak
Yuli" stations) with 3 stations began its work in August 18, 1980.
The length of the line is 4,6 km, average dayly transits - 220-240
thousands people. Up to the 1981 the amount of stations became equal
to 12. The metro is characterized by big intensity of movement in
maximal load hours (4 vagon trans move with interval of 3 minutes)
and high speeds of trains movement. The safety of transits is
supported by signaling system, centralization and blook systems with
automitical stop of train in case of prohibition signal. For the
creation of comfort for passangers the escalators are set. For the
1-st time in
the
Scheme of acting lines of Tashkent metro
practice of metrobuilding with due regard for
climete conditions of the city, was instslled the system
ofirrigation and highspeed selfcleaning filters. The designing of
Metro stations was accomplished by leading architects of the
Republic. The architectural arte, monument and sculpture decoration
of each station reflects its name. The choise of duorative tile
composes wonderful color gamut. In 1981 has been begun
the building of the 1-st part of the 2-nd line from Navoyi station
to "Tashkent" Station with 5 stations. After this the line continued
to grow. the new 6 stations were built. There are constructing the
3-d "Yunusabad" metro line. Several stations of this line starting
(from station "Mingurik" to station "Khabib
Abdullaev").
