report
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
We are very honored
to introduce you our wonderful, ancient and always young city
Tashkent.
The Report, which is proposed here to your attention,
is prepared by specialists from State Commitee for Nature Protection
of Republic of Uzbekistan, "UzGlavGidroMet", Tashkent National
University and non-government organizations.
We would like to
express our gratitude to UNEP/GRID - Arendal for their financial aid
in this matter.
It is difficult to narrate about all achievements
and problems of such big city, but we endeavoured to show the
main points about it. The Report includes the description of the
city history, its infrastructure, major ecological problems, the
reasons of their origin as well as the ways of solutions for these
problems. We hope, that the Report will be interesting to a broad
range of users of Internet.
